Rural Practitioners of Texas Conference
Rural physicians and advanced practitioners were invited to this two-day conference dedicated to addressing the unique challenges of rural healthcare. Attendees gained valuable insights, engaged in thought-provoking discussions, and connected with other healthcare professionals committed to improving access and care in underserved areas.

Regional Rural Med Camp
This event was successfully hosted on the Texas A&M Kingsville campus. The Regional Rural Med Camp is designed for high school students ages 14 to 18 years old in South Texas. The day camp teaches students career paths in healthcare, the road to medical school, and provides interactive lessons to improve health literacy.
Schools to Scrubs Camp
Students from rural school districts across Texas are welcome to the Vashisht College of Medicine campus for an immersive experience that allows them to learn directly from the esteemed faculty and students of the college.

Mini Med Camp
Mini Med Camp is an immersive, overnight camp hosted by the College of Medicine for high school students ages 14-to-18-years-old. During this experience, students will learn more about the road to medical school; participate in interactive lessons; and explore various pathways for a career in healthcare.
