The curriculum integrates basic science content more closely with clinical context, provides clinical exposure earlier and reinforces basic science content in clinical rotations.

The Doctorate of Philosophy in Medical Science program provides cutting-edge research training with a flexible and interdisciplinary curriculum with six areas of research (biochemistry & structural biology, cardiovascular and lymphatic biology, cell and molecular biology, clinical and translational science, microbial pathogenesis & immunology and neurosciences) that allow students a highly personalized training program.

Education for Healthcare Professionals (MS)

School of Medicine

Students in the master’s program, which is designed to develop skills to become excellent teachers in their areas of specialty, may pick a 36-hour non-thesis track that requires a project, or students can complete 34 hours with a thesis. With either option, students will learn how to conduct research to improve and develop innovative educational programs in health professions education.

Education for Healthcare Professionals (CERT)

School of Medicine

For students who wish to expand their knowledge of teaching and curriculum development, the certificate program prepares students to teach in a variety of settings with an interdisciplinary team. Coursework may be applied to the master's degree if the student wishes to pursue the advanced degree in the future.
