About Texas A&M Telebehavioral Care

Texas A&M Telebehavioral Care (TBC) is a non-profit psychological service, research, and training clinic operated by the Department of Educational Psychology and the Department of Psychiatry at Texas A&M University.

TBC provides free counseling services to the Brazos Valley. Our services are provided by a team of doctoral-level trainees and licensed psychologist supervisors.

Texas A&M Department of Educational Psychology

Doctoral students in the Department of Educational Psychology (EPSY) are prepared to become state and national leaders across a variety of disciplines, and high-achieving faculty members use their research to impact the lives of people in Texas and around the country, specifically in the area of child and adult psychology. The Department of Educational Psychology is also the largest producer of special and bilingual education teachers in the State of Texas.

Sam Houston State University

Students from Sam Houston State’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program are encouraged to apply for practicum opportunities at the TCC. Accepted students provide psychotherapy services to clients using telemethods and learn about the challenges and ethical issues of providing services via teleconferencing.

Regional Healthcare Partnership 17

In 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the State of Texas Medicaid Transformation Waiver under Section 1115 of the Social Security Act. This five-year Waiver is designed to build on existing reforms to health care and improve upon the delivery of health care throughout the state. Coordination and implementation of the waiver initiatives is done through the creation of Regional Health Partnerships (RHPs) across the state. Each RHP covers a multi-county region with one participating entity named as anchor.

Regional Healthcare Partnership 17 (RHP 17) is a nine-county partnership, formed on March 14, 2012, located in the eastern portion of the Central Texas region. The partners consist of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Montgomery, Robertson, Walker, and Washington counties. The Texas A&M University Health Science Center has been appointed as the RHP 17 anchor institution.

Faith Mission

Faith Mission is a multi-campus, faith-based community working to help people become self-sufficient through emergency assistance and paths to long-term improvement. The Faith Mission Health and Service Center is also the location of the Washington County Telehealth Counseling Clinic.

Texas A&M Health, Family Care

Texas A&M Health, Family Care is a medical practice comprised of faculty and staff from the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Texas A&M Health, Family Care serves patients of the Brazos Valley with locations in Bryan and Navasota. Texas A&M Health combines a mission of education and medicine through the mentorship of medical students and residents while providing valuable clinical services to the community.

Health For All

Health for All is a free nonprofit health care clinic funded by local donors in Brazos Valley; it receives no state or federal funding. Health For All provides free doctor visits, pharmaceuticals, specialist exams, lab tests, X-rays, chronic disease management education and counseling services to low-income patients in the Brazos Valley without health insurance.

Center for Community Health Development

The Center for Community Health Development (CCHD) uses a team science approach and works collaboratively with communities and other partners to develop, evaluate, translate, apply, and disseminate effective strategies to improve population health and reduce health disparities.

Center for Population Health and Aging

The Center for Population Health and Aging (CPHA) is dedicated to promoting population health and successful aging through innovations in research, education and practice that examine social, behavioral, economic, environmental, and technological solutions linking academic and real-world clinical and community settings.

NAMI Brazos Valley

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need.
