COVID Wearable Device Study

About the Study

Texas A&M Health, including the School of Medicine—in collaboration with researchers and doctors at Baylor College Medicine and Cedars Sinai Medical Center—is conducting a trial of wearable devices (Smart Watch and Smart Ring) to determine whether it is possible to detect beneficial vaccination responses and symptoms of infection using biometric measurements.

We are looking for individuals that are soon to be vaccinated with any of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Eligible criteria are:

  • 18 years old or older.
  • Eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available.
  • Willing to wear a SmartWatch and Smart Ring for 1 year.
  • Willing to provide a small blood sample three times during the study.
  • Willing to provide a urine sample three times during the study.
  • Willing to complete online surveys twice each week.
  • Able to use their own device to provide data electronically (e.g. via smartphone or tablet).
  • Able to participate for 1 year.

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please visit the trial webpage for details and to complete the eligibility survey.
