About Clinical Research

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences engages in clinical research to develop enhanced techniques for delivering treatment to diverse populations both in Central Texas and around the world. Research topics range from Telehealth to specific disorders such as stress, anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The department is involved in enhancing clinical development in various areas.

The Telebehavioral Care Program has a proven and documented expertise in providing high-quality mental health services via long-distance technology, engaging rural communities in order to reduce mental health disparities, and starting a successful and innovative training and supervision model for telepsychology.
