What is your favorite word? What do you like about it?
Bamboozle definitely has to be one of my favorite words. I like it because it sounds fun, and I find myself being bamboozled a lot so I can use it frequently!
What is on your bookshelf?
Harry Potter, of course!!!!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I wanted to be a vet for the longest time before I decided I wanted to be a doctor instead.
What degrees do you hold and from what institutions?
Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University.
What excites you about joining Texas A&M School of Medicine for your masters’ studies?
I am excited to gain research experience and make many amazing connections! I also cannot wait to take anatomy next semester; it was my favorite class in undergrad and I won’t be surprised if it is still my favorite now!
If you could meet any scientist throughout history, who would you want to meet and why?
I think I would want to meet Gregor Mendel because his work was not appreciated until after his death so I would want to thank him for all he did for the field of genetics and tell him about all the developments that have taken place since then. I also would just love to listen to his thought process was when first working with the pea plants.
Tell us something you are passionate about apart from research.
I am passionate about our criminal justice system which is part of the reason why I want to become a forensic pathologist!
