What excites you about joining Texas A&M School of Medicine for your PhD studies?
I am really looking forward for my lab experience at the School of Medicine. I have always enjoyed learning different experimental techniques and equipment training. This field will further involve me in interdisciplinary work and the advancements in medical applications.
If you could meet any scientist throughout history, who would you want to meet and why?
The very influential researchers like Marie Sklodowaska (Marie Curie) and Albert Einstein would be very interesting to meet. It would be interesting to know how their daily lives were, and what other passions they might have had; while trying to understand other possible ideas they might have had as part of the theoretical and applicable science.
Tell us something you are passionate about apart from research.
I do enjoy working in research and related science work. Yet, as noted previously my life has involved both art and science. Art is not only a simple hobby, but is a field or environment that allows my Mexican heritage to be represented. I enjoy portraying and displaying a surreal imagery for others to view, while hoping in presenting humble ideas from my time living in Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley.
