Emi because it is my cat’s name and it also means to smile in Japanese in which I lived in Japan for three years.

I taught cycle for three years in undergrad.

I currently hold a BS for Biochemistry from Mississippi State University.
What excites you about joining Texas A&M School of Medicine for your PhD studies?
I’m most excited about the research that lies ahead in these upcoming years, making connections, and working alongside such successful individuals whom I will learn a great deal from.
If you could meet any scientist throughout history, who would you want to meet and why?
If I could meet any scientist in time it would be Marie Curie because she not only made important steps forward for understanding radioactivity in medicine but was also an empowering influence for future female scientists.
