What excites you about joining Texas A&M School of Medicine for your PhD studies?
I’ve been part of the Aggie family for 7 years now, and I am excited to continue my education in the Medical Sciences PhD program. During the interview process, I felt the respect and camaraderie from faculty and students for which Aggies are known. I am looking forward to rotating through different labs offering a wide variety of research conducted by MED faculty and the potential for collaboration across the university.
If you could meet any scientist throughout history, who would you want to meet and why?
One scientist I would love to meet is Ada Lovelace, one of the few women of her time to be encouraged to explore her passion for math. Her contributions to computer science are the reason why we as a society have been able to further develop technologically. Every machine we use in the lab is a result of her genius, and I would love to talk with such an influential trailblazer.
Tell us something you are passionate about apart from research.
When I am not in the lab, you can find me crafting, hanging out with my dog and cat, or watching foreign dramas and cooking shows. I also love swimming, writing, and experimenting in the kitchen.
