Match Day Info

Every March, the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) hosts Match Day, where thousands of graduating medical students across the country find out where they matched into a residency. Not only does this match tell them where they will live for the next few years, but it will also tell them what type of medicine they will practice.

At the Texas A&M School of Medicine, students have the opportunity to match into the most prestigious residencies in various disciplines across the nation. Furthermore, many students head to residencies within the U.S. military branches. Regardless of the discipline and location, the School of Medicine celebrates you and your match.

Congratulations as you enter this new phase of your professional journey! The challenges are high, the rewards immense. You will be confronted with challenges of inequity/ injustice almost on a daily basis if you open your eyes wide enough. When you see it, let your Aggie core values shine through you that the world may know you are special. At the end of time one's life is worth the extent to which it impacts on other lives.
