Emergency Medicine

Karina Reyner, MD
Clerkship Director

Dr. Reyner received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, and her medical degree from University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. She completed her residency in 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Reyner currently works in the Emergency Department at Baylor University Medical Center and serves as Key Clinical Faculty in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.

Family Medicine

Benjamin McKinney, MD
Clerkship Director 

Dr. McKinney is board certified in family medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK. He completed his internship and residency at Resurrection Health Family Medicine Residency in Memphis, TN. He has special interests in community health, sports medicine and delivering quality medicine to underserved populations both locally and internationally. Dr. McKinney is married and has 2 daughters and one son. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors hiking, riding bikes, and running, as well as golfing. He also is actively involved in his local church and enjoys spending time with the congregation there, participating in community development and engagement in his neighborhood in South Dallas where he lives and works.

Internal Medicine

Dr. Morgan received his undergraduate degree in Science and Electrical Engineering from The University Texas at Austin and his medical degree from University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. Dr. Morgan is currently an Attending Hospitalist at Baylor University Medical Center and serves as Key Clinical Faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.  He is a board-certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Morgan has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for TAMU College of Medicine since 2015.

William J. Christensen, MD
Co-Clerkship Director

Dr. Christensen received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from UTMB in Galveston, Texas, in 1989. He completed his residency in 1992 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is currently practicing with Medprovider and is an attending at Baylor University Medical Center. In addition to being a Clerkship Co-Director for A&M students in internal medicine, he is also actively involved in the teaching and mentoring of medicine residents at Baylor Medical Center. Christensen is a fellow of the American College of Internal Medicine.

OB-GYN

Dr. Spillman received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from University of Texas at Austin, her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and her PhD in Genetics and Development from University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School. She completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Spillman is currently with Texas Oncology at Baylor University Medical Center and serves as a Key Clinical Faculty in the Obstetrics Gynecology Residency Program.  She is a board-certified member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with special certification in Gynecologic Oncology.  She served as an Associate Professor in the Department of OBGYN at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus for eight years and has served as a Clinical Associate Professor for TAMU College of Medicine since 2015.

Pediatrics

Rebecca Prengler, MD
Clerkship Director

Dr. Prengler completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2007, her medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, her pediatrics residency training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University in St. Louis, and a Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship, also at WASU. She has been a practicing pediatrician at Girls to Women Health and Wellness in Dallas since 2016 and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Psychiatry

Sid Kelt, MD
Clerkship Director

Dr. Kelt received his medical degree from The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1983. He completed his residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry, in Dallas, where he became chief resident. Kelt is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He currently practices with Thorntree Psychiatric Associates.

Radiology

Amy Haberman, MD, RDMS, RVT
Clerkship Director

Dr. Haberman completed her undergraduate degree at University of Texas at Dallas. She received her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She pursued her post-graduate training as a Surgical intern at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, as a Diagnostic Radiology resident at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and then as an Abdominal Imaging fellow at Duke University in Durham. She currently practices at American Radiology Associates, Baylor University Medical Center, and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.

Surgery

Geoffrey Funk, MD
Clerkship Director

Dr. Funk received his undergraduate degrees from Texas A&M University, his medical degree from the Texas A&M College of Medicine, and completed his residency training in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center. He completed a surgical critical care fellowship training program in 2010 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Funk is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, currently practices with Urgent Surgery Associates, PA and is on the medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center where he serves as a Key Clinical Faculty in the General Surgery Residency Program.

Kara Monday, MD
Associate Clerkship Director

Dr. Monday received her undergraduate degree from The Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and her medical degree from The Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee.  She completed a General Surgical Internship and residency in 2016 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care in 2017 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.  Dr. Monday is currently an attending physician of trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care at Urgent Surgery Associates/North Texas Critical Care and serves as clinical faculty in the Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Residency programs.  Dr. Monday is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (Baylor Dallas), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a nationally recognized faith based not-for-profit hospital that cares for more than 300,000 people each year.
