Student Counseling

The College of Medicine provides access to private counselors to assist our students with their mental and emotional health needs. The school will pay for up to six free, confidential visits per academic year. Any need to go beyond six visits in the year will be at the expense of the students. These are private individuals who do not work exclusively for the college. Access is self-referral by calling the appropriate number below. If you self-refer, the college will not know who goes, nor will the counselors share information with the college, unless you ask them to do so. Students who are on the B-CS campus also have access to the TAMU Student Counseling Service. Students are welcome to use any counselor of their choosing, but only the contracted ones below will be available for the free visits.

Students who are on rotations not on one of our four main campuses may access counseling services by calling the University of Texas Employee Assistance Program (UTEAP) at 713.500.3327 or 800.346.3549.
