Surgery Interest Group

The Surgery Interest Group was created upon the premise of both introducing and preparing students for a career in any of the surgical specialties. We strive to provide a comprehensive pathway to a career in surgery by guiding students from their first year of medical school until graduation. We host meetings with various residency program directors, general and specialty surgeons, as well as current residents in order to demonstrate the diverse array of opportunities within a surgical career. In addition, we provide research and shadowing opportunities, various clinical skills clinics, and residency preparation for all of our students.
