Gillespie Anesthesiology Student Society
Mission
The Gillespie Anesthesiology Student Society (GASS) provides a wider range of exposure to anesthesiology than is available through the Texas A&M University Health Science Center curricular experience. GASS holds monthly meetings, conducts question and answer sessions with senior medical students, residents and faculty regarding residency applications, offers extensive shadowing opportunities, and puts on workshops such as airway management and vascular access.
Vision
The Gillespie Anesthesiology Student Society was established to introduce interested medical students to the exciting field of anesthesiology. With the medical advancements seen in the modern age, anesthesiology is at the forefront of taking advantage of the latest medical technologies to better patient care preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively.
