Dr. Micheal Spohn is an emergency medicine physician, researcher and educator with twenty years of service in the United States Air Force. Since 2009, Dr. Spohn has served as an emergency medicine physician at CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan, a Level II trauma center that sees more than 50,000 emergency department patients annually and is recognized as a major stroke, chest pain, and trauma center. He has received the hospital’s Reverence Award, Stewardship Award, and many other honors, and he is consistently ranked among the nation’s top medical professionals for patient care and compassionate service.   

A frequent guest lecturer on stroke research and emergency medical expertise, Dr. Spohn also serves on the National Clinical Governance Board for US Acute Care Solutions, which gathers some of the nation’s top emergency medical professionals to provide clinical guidance to a company that stewards more than 6 million annual emergency visits nationwide. He has also led Phase II clinical trials in snakebite antidotes, emergent warfarin reversal agents and emergent NOAC reversal agents, among the many other studies.

Arthur Castro is the Clinical Campus Team Lead and co-directs the A&M Longitudinal Integrated
Medicine (AIM) Program on the Texas A&M flagship campus in College Station, Texas. Arthur assisted
the School of Medicine in the design and implementation of the state’s first longitudinal integrated
curriculum for the clinical third year of medicine. Prior to joining the Aggie family Arthur had a successful
twenty plus year career managing telecommunications and logistical supply-chain software teams while
residing in the Washington, D.C. area. Arthur holds a B.A in Political Science & Economics from the
University of Texas at El Paso and a Masters in Public Health from Texas A&M University. Arthur
currently serves on the Ethics Board of Hospice Brazos Valley and is a counselor and past chair with the
Clerkship Administrators Advisory Council for the Alliance of Academic Medicine.
In his spare time, Arthur enjoys golf, working in his garden, and traveling with his wife Wendy and their
two children, Benjamin and Elaine.
