Which undergraduate degree do you hold from Texas A&M?

Bachelor of Science in Public Health

What are your career goals?

My goal is to either become a family medicine physician or OBGYN. My undergraduate studies in public health allowed me to realize how important the primary care physician is to health promotion and disease prevention. I want to educate and empower patients to make the best possible health decisions for themselves. Additionally, I am also passionate about women’s health and want to work to help women better understand their bodies so they can be better advocates for their own health.

Who is your role model in life/Who do you look up to for inspiration in life?

I am incredibly inspired by the young environmental activist Greta Thunberg. I first remember hearing about her through a podcast last summer and have continued to follow her journey since. She has never let any personal or professional conflicts stop her from fighting for something she believes in and that has helped me realize that I have the strength to face the challenges in my own life.

Tell us something you are passionate about apart from studies

I have recently picked up sewing! My mom gave me her old sewing machine so I find it fun to go to a thrift store and search for old clothes to figure out how I can upcycle them for a brand-new look. I also love this hobby because it helps me reduce my carbon footprint and prevents me from purchasing fast fashion items that contribute to our climate crisis.

How do you like your eggs cooked? Feel free to share a recipe!

I am a very boring person when it comes to eggs. I can only eat them scrambled with salt and pepper! They’re also super yummy on a breakfast taco 😊.
