Graduating M4s
Class of 2020,
It’s been an honor and a privilege to watch each of you grow and mature. Upon graduation next week, you will join the distinguished alumni of Texas A&M School of Medicine. For more than 43 years, our College has graduated not just doctors, but Aggie doctors. You’ve learned the medical knowledge and clinical reasoning skills necessary to serve your patients. But, as importantly, you’ve learned the core values that guide all of your interactions - with patients, colleagues, and everyone you meet. Let the Aggie core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service guide you in everything that you do. As you move into this next phase of your medical career, you face new challenges and increased opportunities to serve. Your role in a healthcare team, in biomedical research, or as a commissioned officer in our Nation’s military has the capacity to transform medicine and to change lives. Serve confidently. Address health care’s greatest needs. Serve those who are underserved. Proudly show the world what it means to be an Aggie doctor. You’re joining a proud maroon line. Congratulations!
